Friendship is shown in the book as a dog because the dog is candy's best friend. Nature is show in the book as a rabbit because they are only really seen in nature throughout the book.

  2. In Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck uses motif to illustrate symbolic animals about sacrifice, friendship and nature. We used a mouse for sacrifice because Lennie killed mice to fulfil his own happiness. We also drew a dog to symbolize friendship because dogs are loyal and kind. Lastly, we drew a rabbit to recognize Steinbeck's descriptive words about nature.

  7. In OMAM, Steinbeck uses a community to illustrate all of the workers common interests. The interest that jumps out the most is the interest of a better life. This can be seen through George, Candy, and Lennie's dream to live on a Ranch. This can also be seen through Curley's wife's interest to be a Hollywood star.
